The following is a short Regulation of Life taken from the book, “The Carmelite Manual; Containing a Selection of Beautiful Prayers, and Various Practices of Piety,” (available free online through Google Books) compiled by the Very Reverend John Spratt, DD and published in Ireland in 1846.
RoyaumeFrance is imbued with the Carmelite spirit through the influence of Ste. Thérèse and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel. For this reason, RoyaumeFrances’s general rule simply is taken from the Carmelite Manual.
We are not an official apostolate and have no authority. We are only lay people in love with Our Lord through total consecration to the Blessed Virgin Mary and in the friendship and sisterly care of Ste. Jehanne and Thérèse. We are devoted to Traditional French Catholicism and the Renaissance of the Catholic Kingdom of France. Therefore, we merely suggest a rule of life, or, at least, a short regulation of life, as a spiritual aid to seeking, loving, and defending the Kingdom by seeking, growing, and persevering in sanctifying grace through the Truth, Beauty, and Goodness (Vérité, Beauté, Bonté) of the mystical Kingdom of the Blessed Virgin Mary’s Catholic France.
We live in troubling times both outside and within the Church. Everyone should seek the protective care of Holy Mother Church through the sacraments, the teachings of the Magisterium, Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the writings of the saints. At RoyaumeFrance, our aim is to inspire, not to teach or take on a role that is not ours to take. However, in these difficult hours, we desire to supply as much spiritual armor as is possible for lay people.
One such contribution of spiritual armor is the following regulation of life. We claim it for RoyaumeFrance!
