Consécration of France to the Blessed Virgin Mary
King Louis VIII and Queen Anne consecrated France to the Blessed Virgin Mary in 1638. France belongs to Mary both by divine providence from above (supramundanely) as the eldest daughter of the church and by royal decree from below (intramundanely). France’s entéléchie according to her natural affinity as guardian of the faith and of natural law must be fulfilled by an act of the will (“motion”) of the King and Queen.
